After serving in the Missouri House of Representatives since 2014, Justin Hill sought to directly impact state policy on a national landscape joining the American Legislative Exchange Council early in his elected career. In 2022, Justin left his post and started Statelinx – a state government affairs firm with a national footprint based in Naples, Florida.
During his legislative career, Justin chaired the Insurance committee and was a member of the Budget, Rules, Public Safety, Education, Health, and other Joint committees with the Senate. While in office, he took on the Affordable Care Act at the state level and caught the attention of the Trump Administration. Justin later advised the administration on ways to bring back free market principles to health insurance markets, which led to the adoption of new federal rules. Justin also chaired the Communications and Technology Task Force and Health and Human Services Task Force at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), forging long-lasting relationships all across the nation. In 2018, Justin went on to win ALEC’s Legislator of the Year, joining less than 100 lawmakers in its 50-year history. Justin attained the National Vice-Chairman position before moving to the private sector.
Prior to Justin’s elected service, he had a 13-year law enforcement career in the St. Louis, Missouri area where he held assignments as an undercover narcotics detective, DEA Task Force Officer, and Patrol Sergeant for a city of over 80,000 residents.
